LEBANON
Still vibrant as ever!
Welcomes tourists, a fantastic place to visit, friendly and fun

Dear Reader,

Lebanon has come full circle. As I settle into my new position, one thing is for certain, the country with all its breathtaking beauty has once again rejoined the elite list of most popular tourist destinations in the Middle East. The influx of expatriate Lebanese and Arab brethren visitors is overwhelming and undoubtedly proves that our nation has the right ingredients of culture, landmark sights and Oriental hospitality to entice the most discerning of travelers time and time again. With the International Airport bustling once more and bookings reaching full capacity, the Ministry will without any hesitation be building upon this momentum and looking forward to the prosperity of the present and boundless limitations of the future.

To further boost the number of tourists’ arrival to Lebanon, the Ministry of Tourism is preparing to reeducate travelers about Lebanon’s tourism offerings, which include among all, a unique gastronomy, a vibrant night life, fabulous beaches and many ski mountain resorts. Boasting an average of 300 days of sunshine per year, coupled with its position between three continents, ease of accessibility, warm hospitality, breathtaking landscapes, wealthy and legendary heritage, Lebanon has it all to make any type of tourism an unforgettable experience.

Discover, dear reader, Lebanon’s incredible natural beauty, fascinating culture and warm welcoming people. Experience thousands of years of archaeological heritage, with forts, castles and towers beautifully preserved for all to see. Explore fascinating museums, impressive old churches and mosques, saving time to shop in the many shopping streets and elegant malls, and especially don’t forget to visit “Jeita Grotto” and “The Cedars of Lebanon” which were recently nominated as contenders of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Dear reader,

“Ahlan Wa Sahlan” to Lebanon.

Elie Marouni

Minister of Tourism
